I want to pay for Screen
If you want to pay for Screen, upvote this and you'll be notified once that's ready.
Select a single window to screenshare
With large monitors, it's sometimes nice to be able to share just a single window, to better control how legible the screenshare is on the remote end. It's also nice to not worry about local alerts or browser tabs or other "not really public" information on your screen, when sharing.
Team contact list (virtual office v1)
Show everyone in my team inside Screen’s main window. The screenshot suggests we'd expose the fact that Pavel and Heather are having a DM conversation, which we won't. Inside each channel, we'll likely show a list of all the meetings happening there. Most likely there'll be only 1, but if multiple people are pairing separately, we'll show each meeting separately.
Allow call recipient to specify video resolution
Those of us with low-bandwidth Internet can't stream high-res video without terrible compression artefacts. Allow the recipient to specify a maximum resolution and downsample to that before streaming.
Set Slack Status
When in a meeting, set my Slack status to "🖥 In a Screen meeting", and unset it when I'm done. If a custom status is in place, just replace the emoji and revert it when done.
Choose specific users to allow control
Currently, screen share hosts can toggle allowing everyone or no one the ability to control their screen. This feature request is to enable hosts to select a specific subset of participants that can share their screen.
Don't Grab Focus on Startup
Oftentimes, I'll start Screen in the background, while I'm working in a terminal or another window -- it'd be nice for Screen to *not* grab focus away from the window in which I am typing. :)
I would like to post a link as a topic in my slack channel. That link should always work, thus allowing people to join us ad-hoc if they want to pair or discuss our work. We do this with Zoom right now, and have to maintain a seperate zoom, and a muted screen.
