High CPU Usage
When screen sharing, the CPU usage is super high (macOS 10.15.6, Desktop App). So much so, that the computer freezes up. Please reduce CPU usage.
Team contact list (virtual office v1)
Show everyone in my team inside Screen’s main window. The screenshot suggests we'd expose the fact that Pavel and Heather are having a DM conversation, which we won't. Inside each channel, we'll likely show a list of all the meetings happening there. Most likely there'll be only 1, but if multiple people are pairing separately, we'll show each meeting separately.
Add screen to existing meeting
If I have an existing Google calendar (etc) meeting, it would be awesome if there was some way to add a screen link to it, even if that meant generating the link in the app and copy/pasting it in.
Global shortcut to select a teammate (virtual office v2)
Allow users to start a meeting with anyone in their team without having to switch to the main window. Here's a visual description of this idea: https://www.figma.com/proto/bMYNNI6cy4DL1r0dgOFzjI/Screen?node-id=7654%3A0&scaling=min-zoom We’ve heard some people say they’d love this, and some people say they’d hate this (because it will increase interruptions). Please let us know your thoughts. If enough people want this, we will consider adding this as an option (so that you can opt-out of this UX if you don’t like it).
Select a single window to screenshare
With large monitors, it's sometimes nice to be able to share just a single window, to better control how legible the screenshare is on the remote end. It's also nice to not worry about local alerts or browser tabs or other "not really public" information on your screen, when sharing.
Password or invite only meetings
As a user I want to be able to limit the people that are allowed to join my meeting. Anyone who has the link can join the meeting now.
We'll be implementing SSO/SAML support first. Let us know what other features you'll need.
Share portion of screen
I would like to be able to select a portion of my screen to share (ex. select only half of an ultrawide display)
We use the drawing functionality all the time, mostly for pointing to stuff in code ("add X here", "can you comment these lines?" etc). It would be nice to have a pen with some transparency to avoid drawing over the code I'm referring to, or even a pointing tool which just shows the cursor location in real time.
